Step by Step- How to create letters on S1
- Search for client and open up client’s record
- List on left hand side of screen, scroll down to Communications and Letters
- Click on Communications and Letters
- It will open a list of all letters sent to client
(For scrubs due to no template please read following steps for all other Prisons go to Step 9) - Open up G:\Atrium Group\Atrium Forms & Correspondence Templates\Appointment Letters\Referral and discharge letters
- Open up S1 and Folder next to each other on your screen
- Click and drag the letter you want to upload to S1 drop it on the part next to the icons that says ‘drag word file here to create letter’
- Select sender and recipient- sender= this organisation, recipient = the patient
(Go to step 19 to continue)
Under heading communications and letters there are several icons - Click on the icon that looks like a piece of paper (when you hover over it is called create new letter)
- Click on piece of paper icon
- Select sender and recipient- sender= this organisation, recipient = the patient
- A pop up to create the letter will appear
- Look to the bottom section called Writing
- Ensure MS WORD box is clicked
- Click choose template
- Pop up box will appear, choose Atrium
- Choose which template you want to use- you will be mainly using completed sessions discharge letter or disengaged discharge letter
- Click write now
- The letter will load
- All parts are automatically populated (for scrubs, NHS number is not populated, click under client’s name in address section to show where to add number, click on demographics and click on NHS number)
- Amend letter by going to home at top of page, update with relevant information of sessions, dates and engagement
- Go back to S1 one mail merge tab at top of page
- Click on save final version and yes
- The document will show up at the bottom of the list of letters on the clients record
- Right click on letter in list
- A list of options will come up, click on export and MS word
- Choose where to save document- I click this PC and choose to save to my H Drive as it is easiest to find it
- Click OK when saved
- Go to H drive and print letter
- Delete letter from H Drive once printed and sent
