Atrium was founded in 1999 by a group of clinicians, including Dr Paul Husselbee who remains company chairman.

One of Atrium’s core strengths has always been its clinical foundations which form the basis for all of our therapeutic services.

Many of Paul’s patients were suffering from anxiety and low mood, were overwhelmed by the challenges of family and work problems, illness or bereavement, or were struggling to adjust to changed circumstances.

Clinical And Wider Team

Here at Atrium, supporting you to address your problems is at the heart of what we do. Our clinical team includes a range of practitioners including psychologists, counsellors and coaches specialising in different areas of expertise. We also have specialist clinical advisers to Atrium coaching services. Sara Ireland, Alex Wyld and Becky Hall are our senior clinicians.

Sara is a chartered psychologist, additionally registered as a coaching psychologist, psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. A senior manager and contractor having worked in the NHS, local government, health consultancy to business and the charity sector; she is also a qualified HR professional and trainer registered with BPS, HCPC and CIPD.

Alex Wyld

Forensic Service Clinical Lead, UKCP

Alex is responsible for the management and development of the Atrium contracted specialist and forensic counselling services. She supports our teams across various NHS mental health service locations. Alex has a Psychology and Criminology degree, multiple trainings in Psychotherapies and has worked as both a practitioner and manager in forensic settings for over 10 years.
