Parent Support for ADHD — Practical Help for Families

Parenting a child with ADHD can be one of the most demanding and isolating experiences a family can face. At Atrium Clinic, we offer specialist parent support that gives you the knowledge, tools, and strategies to understand your child’s needs — and to look after your own wellbeing too.

You Are Not Alone

Many parents tell us they feel judged, exhausted, and unsure where to turn. School can feel like a battleground. Home routines collapse. Relationships come under strain. And through it all, you’re trying to be the best parent you can be for a child whose brain works differently.

Our specialist team works with parents and carers to make sense of what ADHD looks like in your child, and to build practical, compassionate approaches that work at home and support your child at school.

What Our Parent Support Covers

  • Understanding your child’s ADHD — what it means and how it affects them
  • Strategies for managing behaviour at home without conflict
  • Building routines and structure that work for an ADHD brain
  • Supporting your child’s emotional regulation
  • Navigating school — EHCPs, SEND support, and communicating with teachers
  • Managing your own stress and avoiding burnout
  • Sibling dynamics and family relationships
  • Medication — understanding the options and what to expect

How We Work With You

Support is delivered online via video call, making it easy to fit around school runs, work, and family life. We begin with an initial conversation to understand your situation and what you most need help with. From there, we’ll agree a plan — whether that’s a short series of focused sessions or longer-term support as your child grows and changes.

In some cases, we may recommend involving your child directly in sessions, or linking with our clinical team for a broader assessment. We work with families across the UK.
